Originally from France and Michelin Star trained, Alex made his way to Vancouver almost nine years ago. After spending his time working at Restaurants such as DB Bistro, Le Parisien, Les Faux Bourgeois, and Nuba Restaurant Group, Alex decided it was time to venture out on his own. His inspiration for Cabrito "Baby Goat" came from his time travelling across Spain and enjoying all of its flavours. His passion for local and sustainable combined with his vast experience has enabled him to provide Spanish inspired tapas with West Coast accents.



B.C born and raised Chef Dereck has spent time cooking on both coasts of Canada. Having started cooking at a young age in 100 Mile House, Dereck made the move to Vancouver and started training under chefs like Robert Belcham of Campagnolo where he learned to hone his skills at butchery, the craft of charcuterie and bread making before making his way to Halifax. After running a few different farm to table kitchens in Halifax he moved to Toronto where he joined the team at Antler and The Black Hoof before returning home to B.C and joining us here at Cabrito




Jamie has spent the majority of her Restaurant career in Vancouver in both Front of the House and Back of the House. Having served for years, Jamie decided to go to culinary school in 2008. After graduating at the top of her class she worked in kitchens such as Cioppino's and Campagnolo before spending several months staging in Spain at two different slow food restaurants. After returning to Vancouver, Jamie spent two years with Tacofino before joining Alex to help open Cabrito. In May 2016 she moved out to manage the Front of House and has helped establish Cabrito as a destination cocktail restaurant on "The Drive". 


BAR MANAGER - ALICIA WHITFIELD *Has since moved back to the U.K however we like people to know that she was part of the reason our bar program is where it is today. Jamie and Jessica keep her "shake" alive now days.

London born and broadly travelled, Alicia has been an integral part of the success of Cabrito's cocktail program. Having mixed, shaken and stirred her way across several countries, Alicia ended up in Vancouver and has been with us at Cabrito since day one.
